At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.
~ Albert Schweitzer
At Good Shepherd, service to others and giving back to our community are cherished values. Living those values helps to make Good Shepherd a model of excellence in education. Last year our students and faculty completed more than 400 hours of service to others. Students leave Good Shepherd with a better sense of their place in our communities as well as the larger world. They serve others because they care.
However, the success of this thriving and growing school has been due, in large part, to the philanthropic contributions made by alumni, parents, students, faculty, neighbors and friends. The support from the Good Shepherd community changes lives. It allows our students to explore, grow, innovate, and discover their paths.
Donors support Good Shepherd through:
- Gifts to our Annual Fund, which support daily operations and all program areas;
- Capital gifts, which fund equipment and renovations;
- Endowment gifts, which are invested to ensure the long-term security of the school; and,
- Volunteer hours, which enhance every aspect of the school’s culture.
Good Shepherd is fortunate and grateful to have a community which values and supports its mission.
