Fawn Shop is a very special GSES tradition that has been happening for 29 years and it will be here before we know it! The library is transformed into a Winter Wonderland Fawn Shop, where children can purchase gifts for family members and have them wrapped by “elves” and ready to go home. The elves help your children find just the right gift for each family member. All items are between fifty cents and five dollars- a few $10 items. You set your child’s total budget; elves help your children shop within their budget. Payment will not be due until shopping is complete, you will be billed no more than what you approved your child to spend. Once you have paid, you can pick up your gifts. All proceeds benefit the GSES PTO.
Volunteers are needed to help decorate/set up the Fawn Shop in the library, to be an elf and help children shop for items for their loved ones, to wrap presents, and to pack the fawn shop up! We guarantee volunteering for this fundraiser will get you in the Christmas Spirit! Please go to the sign up genius at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0c4dacac22a31-fawn1 to sign up.
In order to make shopping inventory plentiful, we need your help. Please consider donating up to 10 items new or gently used to the Fawn Shop. If you have any treasures you’d like to donate to the Fawn Shop inventory, please send them to the library as soon as possible.
Items needed include: pet toys and treats (cat and dog), handmade items are very popular, items for men (car items, sports, camping, fishing, work/desk, tools, gadgets, gloves, duct tape), teens (music, games, manicure, pedicure, small gift cards, etc) holiday decorative items, jewelry, household items, cooking utensils, mugs, tea, gourmet coffee and hot chocolate, chocolates, candy, bath soaps, beauty items, gloves, hats, toys, books- anything you can think of! You might want to consider some $5.00 gift cards through Scrip (currently Panera, Barnes and Noble and Starbucks are offering! ).
Thanks for helping to make the Fawn Shop a memorable experience for students!
