Are You a GSES Student?

Who is a Good Shepherd student?  Probably someone just like you!

Some GSES students started at Good Shepherd in Pre-Kindergarten, and some joined the Lower School just this year.  Some students start at GSES for Middle School Academy, and some come to the Middle School after attending another school.  Some kids even come to GSES after homeschooling for the elementary years, choosing to attend Good Shepherd for Middle School.

No matter when - or why - you start at Good Shepherd, you'll find it's super easy to get to know your classmates.  Because we have smaller classes with lots of group activity, making friends is both fun and comfortable.

Plus, at Good Shepherd, we're not about competition, clothes or cliques, and there are no bullies allowed.  Classmates are friends, and we encourage one another every day.

If you're around after school, you'll have the opportunity to play sports like soccer or basketball, hang out with your friends, take cool classes (like Cuong Nu, motorized Legos and more) or handle your homework before you get home.

Curious to know what you'll be learning at Good Shepherd?  Here's an overview of all the great things we explore!

Student Life

Community - One of the greatest things about Good Shepherd is the friendships that create a community.  Many of our graduates (and their parents) have shared that friendships found at Good Shepherd become extended family.

Sports - GSES fields a soccer team in both Fall and Spring for Lower and Middle School students.  In the winter, basketball clinics are provided after school.

Community Service and Mission Trips - Every year, our Middle School students participate in a mission trip to give back.  Missions have included trips to build a playground for a camp serving underprivileged children and teens, working with Habitat for Humanity, and visits to nursing homes. Community service is a core element in middle school. Students participate in volunteer opportunities within and outside the school community.

Dress Code - Our dress code is straightforward, removing distractions while still providing room for self expression.  On chapel days each week, students wear simple uniforms of collared shirts and navy pants or plaid skirts.  Collared shirts are required Monday through Thursday, and Fridays are "casual days."  Please see our student handbook for complete details.
